Founder & Head mechanic
E-Bike mechanic, Architect, photographer, and adventurer. Originally from Chile, Diego's life has always been defined by the outdoors—
from BMX and MTB to deep-sea diving.
His vision for Byron Bike House is a blend of technical expertise and a passion for the human connection that
happens over a bike repair.
The spark
Atelier - French for "Workshop"
It began at age 17 in a small rural town. Diego started repairing punctures for neighbors from his home workshop.
The essence was simple: collect the bike, fix it with honesty, and return it within 48 hours. This "home-based" closeness
became the project's DNA.
New Horizon
In 2023, Diego moved to Australia. From building trails in
Margaret River to working as a Divemaster in Thailand, every step led back to the Northern Rivers.
Eventually, he returned to Byron Bay to rebuild the dream from the ground up.

Today, Byron Bike House is a fully equipped mobile workshop serving Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers.
We provide mechanical and electrical repairs, diagnostics, and e-bike sales directly at your doorstep.
